摘要: Purpose of review Local therapeutics play an important role in the management infectious and noninfectious uveitis (NIU) as well certain masquerade syndromes. This highlights established those under investigation for uveitis. Recent findings An injectable long-acting fluocinolone acetonide insert was recently approved by Food Drug Administration treatment NIU affecting posterior segment. Intravitreal methotrexate, sirolimus, anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) agents are being evaluated efficacy NIU. foscarnet ganciclovir adjuncts viral retinitis methotrexate rituximab vitreoretinal lymphoma. Summary steroids with greater durability now available but comparative to other modalities remains be determined. steroid-sparing immunosuppressive undergoing evaluation anti-VEGF uveitic macular edema. antivirals may improve outcomes cases retinitis. chemotherapeutics can help induce remission
