摘要: We study how intermolecular interactions, conformational changes, and polarization effects control the nature of electronic excitations in conjugated polymer blends. Quantum-chemical calculations high-pressure photoluminescence experiments are used to assess these polyfluorene-based donor--acceptor systems. The redshift charge-transfer--like usually observed under pressure is found arise primarily from reduced interchain distance; corresponding shift bulk excitons equally sensitive spacing planarization alterations. Intermolecular charge-transfer states shown have shorter radiative lifetimes higher oscillator strengths at high pressure. In contrast, intramolecular build up character lose strength efficiency with increasing
