摘要: Purpose: A wide variety of environmental chemicals/xenobiotics including phthalates have been shown to cause oxidative stress targeting the endocrine system and reproductive anomalies. The present review describes various issues by causing male dysfunctions. Here in this review, importance role phthalate compounds dysfunction has well documented. Materials Methods: One class disruptors is phthalates. Phthalate are mostly used as plasticizers, which increase flexibility, durability, longevity, etc. plastics. Large-scale use plastic products our daily life thousands workers engaged manufacture recycling industry potentially exposed these chemicals. Further, general population vulnerable groups i.e. children pregnant women also Phthalates among toxicants capable compromising fertility inducing a state testes. They may generate reactive oxygen species (ROS) that affect physiological functions. Results: available data points out induce organs mainly testis epididymis. impair spermatogenic process apoptosis germ cells or target sertoli thereby hamper spermatogenesis. Leydig cell function ROS, decreasing levels steroidogenic enzymes. Conclusion: Thus utero postnatal exposure might lead decreased sperm count other anomalies young male.
