摘要: A clear link between ecosystem services (ES) and human well-being has been established in the recent decades. Thus, forests are recognised as extremely important ecosystems relation to their capacity provide goods society. Nevertheless, this greatly depends on type of forest management applied. Some types data often used for analysis, such land use/land cover maps produced general purposes, not always appropriate representing they offer. In study, we a map (Spanish National Forest Map: scale 1:25,000) information describing composition structure assess six closely associated with forest-dominated zone northwestern Spain regional scale. The following ES were considered: provision food (basically fruits), materials (timber pulp), biomass energy (firewood), climate regulation (carbon storage by above-ground biomass), erosion (protection against erosion), cultural (recreational use nature tourism). By combining about tree species harvest other statistics, representative spatial models different categories potential supply each one. analysed methods (Spearman’s correlation, Moran’s I Getis-Ord Gi*), enabling detection hotspots coldspots characteristic scales supply. combined highly detailed data, nonspatial databases analysis yielded accurate assessment.
