摘要: This nationwide study investigated associations between paternal occupational exposure and childhood bone tumours soft- tissue sarcomas. The UK National Registry of Childhood Tumours provided cases childhood sarcomas born diagnosed in Great Britain, 1962–2010. Control births, unaffected by cancer, were matched on sex, birth period registration sub-district. Fathers’ occupations assigned to one or more 33 groups coded for social class. We analysed 5,369 sarcoma 5380 controls. Total bone tumours, total soft-tissue the subgroups osteosarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma Ewing Sarcoma Family (ESFT) considered separately. Significant positive seen EMFs (odds ratio = 1.67, CI = 1.22–2.28) also ESFT textile dust (1.93, 1.01–3.63). There putative protective effects dermal hydrocarbons, metal, metal working oil mists. Despite large size freedom from bias this study, our results should be interpreted with caution. Many significance tests undertaken, chance findings are expected. Nevertheless, finding may support related suggestions literature.
