摘要: From Tabernaemontana chippii root bark, forty-five alkaloids were isolated; thirty-four fully characterized by means of their spectral data and/or co-tlc; eight new, four them being 3-hydroxy derivatives known dimeric voacamine type alkaloids. Most the twenty-six belonged to corynanthean, ibogan, or bisindole classes. The structures eleven other alkaloids--all minor--were only partially elucidated, most new All shown possess strong antimicrobial activity against gram-positive bacteria and moderate weak gram-negative bacteria.
