摘要: We illustrated a pragmatic approach to modeling that involved working with expert biologists and managers construct simple population model addressed specific management-oriented questions. The included the basic processes of wolf demography social structures necessary make accurate predictions. Simple simulation experiments were used determine impacts changes in demographic parameters, results infer how management activities environmental might affect populations. This will help address new questions about wolves are managed western Great Lakes region as continues recover is removed from Federal Endangered Species List. should also contribute recovery other endangered species.
