摘要: Each phage infects its specific bacterial host strain through highly interactions between the baseplate-associated receptor binding protein (RBP) at tip of tail and surface. Baseplates incorporate structural core modules, Dit Tal, largely conserved among phages, peripheral modules anchoring RBPs. Exploiting information from HHpred program EM data Bielmann et al. (2015) paper, a molecular model A118 baseplate was generated different building blocks. This implies occurrence module reshuffling suggests that listerial may have been derived lactococcal TP901-1 species exchange. With increase available viral structures, modelling baseplates will become easier more reliant, provide insightful on nature mode recognition.
