摘要: Electroantennograms (EAGs) were recorded from both sexes of spined soldier bug (SSB), Podisus maculiventris, and Brazilian SSB (BSSB), P. nigrispinus to determine antennal olfactory responsiveness 23 compounds in 14 BSSB, including the multicomponent male-produced aggregation pheromone plant volatiles. EAGs species similar. (E)-2-Hexenol (E)-2-hexenal elicited greatest EAGs, followed by heptanol, nonanal, hexanal, pheromonal compounds, (±)-α-terpineol benzyl alcohol. Both BSSB more sensitive components [(±)-α-terpineol, (±)-linalool, alcohol] nonanal than either (E)-2-hexenol or (a component pheromone). (±)-α-terpineol, alcohol, SSB. volatile 1-hexanol decreased significantly with removal segments, suggesting that receptors for these are distributed over distal three segments five-segmented antennae.
