There an 8‐9-fold greater density mummies (potential hosts) pistachios to almonds. proportion not significantly different 2003, but more almond than pistachio were 2004. In average per hectare 2004 converse true. Examination meteorological data did suggest explanation for live almonds consistently particularly second flight June July. summer strongly associated sanitation survey previous winter mummies. We conclude that overall serving potential oviposition sites prior next year’s crop has impact abundance season harvest does implications ecology management this species are discussed.
