摘要: This paper presents an approach for a reconfigurable shape search system 3D engineering models using client-serverdatabase architecture. The current focuses on the server functionality, while subsequent will focus database issues. takes query as input from client and converts it into feature vectors new skeletal graph representation which we have developed. algorithms such voxelization, skeletonization, extraction accomplishing these are described in detail. principal advantages of that (i) preserves geometry topology model, (ii) is considerably smaller than B-Rep graph, (iii) insensitive to minor perturbations shape, sensitive enough capture major features shape. Our also synergistic with human cognitive results indicate even complicated shapes.Copyright © 2003 by ASME
