摘要: An instantaneous corrosion rate (ICR) monitoring technique, suitable for application in recirculating cooling water systems, is useful rapid appraisal of corrosiveness the aqueous system with respect to metal and alloys interest. In this study rates mild steel, copper, cupronickel were measured at various times during an exposure period by electrochemical polarization resistance measurements using a three-electrode system. The average (ACR) also determined gravimetric weight loss method correlate ICR data. Stainless steel was used as reference electrode replace standard saturated calomel increased robustness pilot-scale systems. A side-streamflow channel unit designed hold three electrodes flowing water. Use stainless reliable monitored intermittently 28 days. Integration data from towers correlated well ACR results, similar correlation coefficients obtained bench-scale experiments.
