摘要: Frozen sections of 75 decalcified human teeth with root surfaces exposed to the oral environment during periodontal disease were examined for presence in cementum “pathologic granules” (Bass 1951, Benson 1963). In 72 these granule-like formations found cementum. only one instance granules also under an unexposed surface. A possible explanation this exception was presented. The cemental do not appear be artifacts fixation, decalcification, or freezing. Mineralized ground roots did exhibit any structural changes resembling granules. However, upon decalcification appeared. This suggests that areas from which arise are filled calcified material.
