摘要: This article analyzes social and penal control strategies in the GDR with special emphasis on role of Ministry for State Security (Stasi) East German society, which by reinforcing party state society through surveillance political policing was an essential element socialist system. Empirical evaluation case suggests that carceral Foucault imagined cannot achieve its aims creating a self-regulating, obedient citizenry where disciplinary regime diverges from popular values aspirations. Such may secure compliance so long as power seems unassailable, but once authority is threatened it suddenly experience revolt more accurate reflection sentiments.
