摘要: The study of histidine metabolism has never been at the forefront interest in plant systems despite significant role that analysis this pathway played development field molecular genetics microbes. With advent methods to analyze gene function by complementation microbial auxotrophic mutants and complete genome sequences, strides have made deciphering plants. studies point a complex evolutionary origin genes for biosynthesis. Gene regulation indicated novel regulatory networks involving histidine. In addition, physiological functions plants as chelators transporters metal ions. Recent investigations revealed intriguing connections reproduction. exciting new information suggests biosynthesis finally begun flower.
