摘要: To evaluate corneal wound healing in the hen animal model after additive surgery with an intracorneal ring segment (ICRS). We implanted one ICRS each eye of 76 hens. In control group 1 (n = 22 hens), stromal channel was prepared but no inserted. 2 (n = 2 performed. Animals were randomly separated into groups and euthanized clinical follow-up 4 12 hours, 1, 2, 3, 7 days, 4, 6 months. Corneas stained hematoxylin-eosin. Apoptosis measured by terminal uridine nick end-labeling assays. Cell proliferation myofibroblast-like differentiation assayed BrdU α-smooth muscle actin immunofluorescence microscopy. Stromal matrix changes documented electron Epithelial cell apoptosis around ICRS-implanted eyes peaked at continued for 72 hours. eyes, epithelial present 12 24 hours, respectively, 7 days 72 hours, respectively. Some through 6-month follow-up, cells differentiated to three months implantation. The segments rotated within stroma as limbal inferior angle approached epithelium. Wound implantation corneas similar that other surgical wounds stages. However, there some specific features related small size device permanently inside cornea.
