摘要: We present a study of software practitioners' de-motivators for process improvement (SPI). The aim this is to understand the nature issues that de-motivate practitioners SPI, so SPI managers can better manage these de-motivators. This compares what literature reports as factors hinder success with perception them. Focus groups are used elicit perceptions over 200 practitioners. Our findings show confirm major them SPI. These related resistance change, lack evidence, imposed initiatives, resource constraints and commercial pressures. also there differences in across staff role have development generally. offer insight aid design more targeted strategies.
