摘要: Some central issues in discussions of creative processes science are: (1) the mechanism(s) by which hypothesis formation takes place; (2) sources new knowledge during formation; and (3) "Eureka" versus steady accumulation (accretion) issue concerning pace change formation. This paper attempts to investigate question whether data from transcripts scientists thinking aloud have potential speak these issues. A case study is examined subject generates a explanatory model hypothesis--a predictive analogy describes hidden process explaining phenomenon. Findings appear show that it possible insight protocols. The present suggests view more complex than can be provided either an inductivist, rationalist, Eurekaist, or accretionist position alone. Recent analyses Darwin's thought are found similar many respects analysis data. (Author/YP) Reproductions supplied EDRS best made original d'alment.
