摘要: Purpose Conjunctival melanoma (CM) is a rare disease associated with considerable mortality. As opposed to cutaneous melanoma, the epigenetic mechanisms involved in development of CM and other mucosal melanomas (MMs) are unclear. The purpose this study was identify tumor-specific prognostic microRNA (miRNA) compare miRNA profile that MM. Methods Using microarray analysis (Affymetrix) we determined expression 40 CMs compared 7 normal conjunctival samples. Changes were T stage, local recurrence, metastasis, Furthermore, six fresh frozen tissue samples four laryngeal sinonasal Results Our revealed 24 upregulated 1 downregulated CM; several these miRNAs have key functions pathogenesis progression melanoma. Additionally, identified seven specific for stage-T1 stage-T2 CM, whose increased tumor thickness (P = 0.007), two (miR-3687 miR-3916) an risk recurrence. No stage T3-specific identified. Conclusions We differentially expressed potentially CM. pattern resembled identification provides entry point future functional studies as or therapeutic targets highlights resemblance between MM,
