摘要: Introduction: The ventralis lateral (VL) nucleus of the thalamus is commonly chosen target for deep brain stimulation (DBS) to alleviate tremor. However, it has a poor efficacy in alleviating proximal tremor and patients may develop tolerance action component We performed bilateral caudal or motor part zona incerta (cZI) determine its safety tremor. Methods: 5 with parkinsonian 13 range tremors (Holmes(HT), Cerebellar(CT), Essential(ET), Multiple sclerosis(MS) Dystonic tremor(DT) affecting both distal body parts underwent MRI guided, cZI DBS. Tremor was assessed by Fahn-Tolosa-Marin (FTM) scale at baseline mean follow up 12-months. Results: Resting PD improved 94.8% postural 88.2%. total score 75.9% 6 ET. HT 70.2%, CT 60.4% MS 57.2% rating score. In single patient DT there improvement dystonia Patients required low voltages high frequency did not it. Stimulation related side effects were transient. Conclusion: This prospective study shows that be an alternative treatment contrast DBS VL improves all components limbs as well axial musculature.
