摘要: Sperm creatine phosphokinase (CK) concentrations and the synthesis of CK-M isoform reflect normal spermiogenesis predict maturity fertilizing potential ejaculated human spermatozoa. Immature spermatozoa, characterized by cytoplasmic retention low to CK-B ratios, are deficient in zona binding fail cause pregnancies. Because these sperm lack zona-binding ability, we examined this study whether beta 1,4-galactosyltransferase (GalTase), a key element sperm-zona interactions mice, is diminished immature sperm. Unexpectedly, GalTase was overexpressed relative mature sperm: levels CK plasma membrane were positively correlated (r = 0.78, p < 0.001, n 88). populations with various cellular maturity, prepared Percoll gradients, had different concentrations, but within each subpopulation relationship between maintained (p 0.01-0.001). activities intact vortex-disrupted fractions similar, showing that present on surface sperm--similar situation all other species assayed. The changes previously reported our laboratory ability lipid peroxidation rates (which occur simultaneously extrusion), decline activity, increased expression suggestive remodeling concomitant maturation. here maturing spermatozoa prove hypothesis.
