摘要: In addition to genetic factors, environmental triggers, including viruses and other pathogens, are thought play a major role in the development of autoimmune disease. Recent findings have shown that viral-induced autoimmunity is likely be genetically determined. large-scale analyses, an association interferon induced with helicase C domain 1 (IFIH1) gene variants encoding viral RNA-sensing susceptibility several diseases was found. To date, precise IFIH1 pathogenic mechanisms has yet fully elucidated. However, recent reports suggest may etiology type diabetes. Rare alleles been protective against diabetes, their carriage correlates lower production this its functional disruption. contrast, upregulation expression by associated more severe disease, could exacerbate process susceptible individuals.
