摘要: Most excitatory synapses reside on small protrusions located the dendritic shaft of neurons called spines. Neuronal activity regulates number and structure spines in both developing mature brains. Such morphological changes are mediated by modification actin cytoskeleton, major structural component Because size is tightly correlated with strength synaptic transmission, activity-dependent remodeling a spine plays an important role modulation transmission. The regulation morphogenesis utilizes multiple intracellular signaling pathways that alter dynamics remodeling. Here, we will review recent studies examining underlying at postsynaptic neurons.
