摘要: The jelly secreted by the oviduct of Rana pipiens has been analyzed histochemically and biochemically. Histochemical techniques show that contains neutral carbohydrates a protein moiety. Colorimetric estimation reveals also appreciable quantities hexose hexosamine. Sialic acid is present. Chromatographic methods were employed to identify simple sugars, galactose, fucose, mannose, xylose glucose, hexosamines, glucosamine galactosamine.
