HYDROGEN PERMEABILITY OF PALLADIUM MEMBRANE FOR STEAM-REFORMING OF BIO-ETHANOL USING THE MEMBRANE REACTOR

摘要: A Palladium membrane was prepared by electro-less plating method on porous stainless steel. The catalytic hydrogen production steam-reforming of biomass-derived ethanol (bio-ethanol) using a Pd analyzed comparing it with those for the reaction reagent (the reference sample). And permeability palladium investigated same (H2/He selectivity = 249, at ΔP 0.10 MPa, 873 K). As result, bio-ethanol, deposited carbon had negative influence hydrogen-permeability and purity. sulfur content in bio-ethanol may have promoted deposition. By membrane, confirmed that H2 yield (%) increased. It can be attributed methane converted from produced more steam reforming, due to situ removal location.
