摘要: Objective Identification of patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage (aSAH) cognitive impairment is important for patient management (medical treatment, rehabilitation and social arrangements). The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) currently recommended over the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) by US National Institute Neurological Disorder, in chronic post-stroke setting. We hypothesised that MoCA has a better correlation functional outcome at 3 months than MMSE. Methods carried out prospective observational study Hong Kong 2 year period, recruiting aged 21–75 years aSAH admitted within 96 h ictus. assessments included modified Rankin Scale, Lawton Instrumental Activity Daily Living (IADL), Short Form-36, MMSE after Analyses were to compare Results 90 completed 3 month assessments.
