摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter deals with the diagnosis and management of depression, which is not a homogenous disorder but complex phenomenon many subtypes. The differences in symptomatology range from mild symptoms to severe symptoms, or without psychotic features. Interactions other psychiatric somatic disorders are quite common. etiology depression multi-factorial, including non-genetic genetic factors. As most human disorders, relationship between genes straightforward result complicated interactions multiple environment. Similarly, response antidepressant medication varies among patients partly influenced by variants. According diagnostic criteria DSMS-IV, five following have be present for minimum two weeks: depressed mood, loss interest pleasure, significant alteration weight appetite, insomnia hyposomnia, disturbances psychomotor activity either agitation retardation, fatigue energy, feelings worthlessness, diminished ability think concentrate, recurrent thoughts death suicidal ideation acts. Most theories about neurobiology involve functional deficiencies brain monoaminergic transmitters, especially serotonin (5-HT) norepinephrine (NE). Both neurotransmitters modulate behavioral that disturbed such as vigilance, motivation, fatigue, retardation.
