摘要: Mercury emissions from various stationary combustion sources such as coal-fired power plants, oil-fired industrial utility oil boilers, iron manufacturing and waste incinerators, were measured. The US EPA (Environmental protection agency) method 101A the Ontario hydro used to sample mercury containing flue gases, at inlet of air pollution control devices (APCDs) stack. Collected samples both gaseous particulate forms then analyzed using CVAA (cold vapor atomic absorption) type analyzer. Measurement results plant showed percentages elemental (Hg0) high 31.4% low 9.5%. However, content Hg0 was in range 1.3-3.7% incinerator. Differences speciation are believed be coming from: (1) difference fuel types; (2) major gas compositions (ex. HCl SOx); (3) types (APCDs). When measurement obtained different sampling methods compared, Hydro Method gave a slightly higher concentration than that 101A.
