摘要: Abstract The present study was conducted to investigate sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) activity and copper removal utilizing SRB enhanced by zero valent iron (Fe0) with MgSO4·7H2O Na2SO4 as sulfate source sodium lactate energy resource in three distinct systems: system, Fe0 system SRB + Fe0 system. were tested synthetic wastewater containing 1250 mg L− 1 sulfate, 600 mg L− 1chemical oxygen demand (COD), (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 mg L− 1) pH 6.0. Sulfate reductions the effective below 20 25 mg L− 1 of initial concentration, respectively. Copper concentrations higher than 20 mg L− 1 lethal reduction rates increased 559% relative 15 mg L− 1. results show that addition SRB. In experiment, overall around 99.5% after 40 h all systems, whereas exhibited a better performance other systems reaction time 120 min. EDS (energy-dispersive spectroscopy) analysis showed precipitation occurred form sulfide. experiments demonstrated more capable treat acid systems.
