摘要: This article deals with biomass-based technologies for polygeneration and district heating (DH). The relevant the generation of heat, power, biofuels are presented in Section 1 taking into account thermochemical, chemical, biological pathways. In particular, opportunity integrating them polygeneration—also according to biorefinery concept—is analyzed here. Biomass combined heat power (CHP) systems DH application have been compared considering size, efficiency, flexibility operation, field experience. 2, distribution described advantage previous analysis on pointing out existing relation between distribution, efficiencies, network temperature. current trend toward low temperature has then extensively analyzed. effects possible variation demand—both short term (i.e., daily seasonal utilization profiles) medium (e.g., building refurbishment)—on system operation biomass CHP also discussed vision extend smart grid concept thermal networks. As a whole, pilot or real-plant data validated theoretical models used support analysis. Keywords: biomass; polygeneration; district heating; CHP; Fischer–Tropsch
