摘要: Background/Objectives The past several decades have witnessed unprecedented advances in genomic technology, bringing genetic testing to the forefront of medical practice and moving us towards personalized medicine. Genetic has become an important aspect preempting successfully treating diseases dermatology, yet difficulty remains regards obtaining for patients. We conducted a survey pediatric dermatologists order try gauge understand where difficulties lie analyze how best these issues can be resolved. Methods An 18-question was emailed 480 who attended at least one last three annual Society Pediatric Dermatology (SPD) meetings. Results Virtually all providers encountered situation which they required patient (97.3% [n = 108]) 37.4% indicated needing more than six times per year. Of respondents had attempted obtain testing, half were unsuccessful coverage 75% time (45% 32]) only 7.0% (n 5) achieved success 100% time. The most common reasons included need provide accurate diagnosis, followed by prognostic information appropriate management. Conclusion The role dermatology is expanding, challenge. propose solutions as this remedied.
