摘要: We present results from an empirical study investigating the effect of embodiment and minimal gestures in interactive drumming game consisting autonomous child-sized humanoid robot (KASPAR) playing with child participants. In this study, each participant played three games a that drum whilst simultaneously making (or not making) head gestures. The included interacting real (physical condition), hidden when only sound is heard (disembodiment condition; note term ‘disembodiment’ used paper specifically to refer experimental condition where physical produces cues, but visible participants), or real-time image (virtual condition). mixed design repeated measures were evaluate effects independent-groups effects. Data implementation human‐robot interaction experiment 66 children are presented, statistically analyzed terms participants’ subjective experiences performance pair. showed significant differences for different conditions enjoyment game, perceived intelligence appearance robot. also differed significantly within presence increased these significantly. physical, embodied enabled more interaction, better turn-taking, as well especially © Koninklijke Brill NV, Leiden Robotics Society Japan, 2009
