摘要: Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects abdominal breathing on anxiety and length of labor time in primipara women. Method: It was a quasiexperimental design with non-equivalent comparison group, performed from October 11 December 4, 2007. Thirty-six subjects who received pitocin met inclusion criteria were chosen by convenience sampling room Y hospital located Seoul. The intervention ‘four seconds inhale, six exhale method.’ carried out 30 times each when uterine cervix dilated 3~4cm 5~6cm. Psychological measured VAS-A before after dilatation 3~4cm, Result: Anxiety scores experimental found lower than that control group at 3~4cm(z=-3.05, p=.00) 5~6cm(z=-2.04, p=.04) dilatation. However, not effective active phase thru full dilatation, though there 56 minutes difference between two groups. Conclusion: Carrying points decreasing level during labor. Further is suggested time, fetal heart rate, contraction.
