摘要: Porous media are a vital component in almost every electrochemical device the form of electrode, support or gas diffusion layers. Microstructural parameters porous layers such as tortuosity, porosity and pore size diameter high importance crucial for diffusive mass transport calculations. Among these parameters, tortuosity remains ill-defined field electrochemistry, resulting wide range different calculation approaches. Here, we present systematic approach calculating samples using image cell experimental-based methods. Image-based analyses include selection geometric flux-based algorithms. Differences between cell-based results encountered attributed to small diameters thereby induced Knudsen effects within which govern flux.
