摘要: Ecosystem-based Adaptation promotes the sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystem services to adapt climate change, has been defended as an effective cost-efficient way reducing change impacts. In fact, there is a growing recognition role that healthy ecosystems play in helping people but only starting be incorporated policy its so far limited complement (not substitute) more traditional adaptation measures. This paper reviews recent literature on looks for main reasons this delay by identifying key areas need attention from scientists policymakers order incorporate into international agenda. Main challenges relate governance structures participation, how measure effectiveness, incorporation longer-term scales management, appropriate financial mechanisms, dealing with science inherent uncertainties.
