摘要: Introduction We aimed to assess episodic memory in genetic frontotemporal dementia (FTD) with the Free and Cued Selective Reminding Test (FCSRT). Methods The FCSRT was administered 417 presymptomatic symptomatic mutation carriers (181 chromosome 9 open reading frame 72 [C9orf72], 163 progranulin [GRN], 73 microtubule-associated protein tau [MAPT]) 290 controls. Group differences correlations other neuropsychological tests were examined. performed voxel-based morphometry investigate underlying neural substrates of FCSRT. Results All carrier groups MAPT significantly worse on all scores compared In C9orf72 group, deficits found except for delayed total recall task, while no GRN carriers. Performance correlated executive function, particularly carriers, but also naming tasks group. performance gray matter volumes frontal, temporal, subcortical regions GRN, mainly temporal areas Discussion detects C9orf72- MAPT-associated FTD provides important insight into cause impairment different forms FTD.
