摘要: EXTENSIVE quarrying is being done on the hill slopes west of Kabbal (12° 30′ N., 77° 18′ E., situated about 40 miles south-south-west Bangalore), and so fresh surfaces were available for examination. Peninsular gneiss prevailing rock this region. It thinly foliated often highly contorted. The generally biotitic ; but there are hornblendic layers streaks.
