摘要: Regional investigation of the lower part Wilcox Group in Texas outcrop and subsurface indicates seven principal depositional systems. These include: (1) Mt. Pleasant Fluvial System developed updip north Colorado River; (2) Rockdale Delta System, present primarily subsurface, chiefly between Guadalupe Sabine Rivers; (3) Pendleton Lagoon-Bay largely on southern flank Uplift; (4) San Marcos Strandplain-Bay occurring mainly Arch; (5) Cotulla Barrier Bar South Texas; (6) Indio Bay-Lagoon Texas, (7) Shelf an extensive system entirely within Texas. The consisting large lobate wedges muds, sands, carbonaceous deposits, is thickest most It grades to thinner terrigenous facies System. Deposits were source sediments redistributed by marine processes deposited laterally adjacent Delineation systems and, more specifically, delineation component variousmore » systems, permits establishment regional oil gas trends which show relationship producing fields distribution potentially trends.« less
