摘要: This most extensive part of the book deals with compounds generally known as juvenile hormone analogues or mimics. These materials encompass a wide range mainly synthetic relatively smaller amount natural products isolated from plants and animals. The have been characterized by certain size shape molecule, low polarity, presence specific functional groups substituents, some other common structural features. However, only criterion for classification compound analogue is its property to exhibit mimic morphological physiological effects secreted corpora allata. Since chemical nature endogenous corpus alla-tum still incompletely respect diversity insect species, these cannot be viewed allatum in sense word. It more appropriate regard them bio-analogues pharmaco-analogues. To facilitate further discussions we selected generic name juvenoids all activity.
