摘要: Intensified grasslands are usually the dominant type of grassland in many countries Europe but generally poor ecological value. Several management factors may affect biodiversity these including fertilisation, grazing and cutting management. Their effects on described this paper. In most cases, intensive profitable grass production from semi-natural appears to be incompatible with maintaining a high level biodiversity. Two key questions then arise: how restore while limiting technical economical consequences? How choose target species an objective basis? Some solutions considered paper it is suggested that 1) new tools (i.e. indicators) required evaluate functions achieve restoration goals 2) short-term research priority understand predict at field farm-scale.
