Cyber attacks scenarios on the measurement function of power state estimation

摘要: Cyber security provided by robust power systems state estimation (SE) methods is evaluated. Tools and estimators developed in statistics theory are considered. The least trimmed squares (LTS) based diagnostic studied. impact of cyber attacks on the Jacobian matrix or observation function, which generate coordinated outliers known as leverage points, assessed. Two scenarios proposed where first scenario generates a masked attack resulting contaminated uncontrolled intruder. second leads to stealthy with an estimated targeted fixed same Intervals for necessary number each their positions shown. Theoretical derivations projection framework highlights conditions that minimize detection SE approaches from regression model assumption. More specifically, affine equivariant present weakness towards such intrusions. Simulations IEEE system test beds illustrate behavior LTS decomposition popular analyzing weighted (WLS) residuals when subject both scenarios' attacks.
