摘要: Abstract In travel time tomography, the evaluation of problems regarding introduction priori information requires special attention. this article, we analyze importance data measurement errors and ‘damping factors’ in solution a system linear equations. The inversion method considered study minimizes squares difference between slowness each single cell mean slowness. We discuss different behavior high low velocity cells caused by damping factor. Considering that problem is not linear, introduced or will affect solutions way. Synthetic models show factors introduce significant distortions around lower higher cells. Furthermore note cells, for any value factor, are ‘well detected’. On contrary, general masked smoothing generated To avoid these smaller corresponding to ones velocities, results obtained indicate way approach true field velocity. Finally example which wrong anomalous trend eliminated with variable into system. conclude can be when strong variations exist survey area.
