摘要: Exposure to toxic chemicals goes back at least 2000 years with the first use of irritating agents such as smokes and burning sulphur in warfare, a practice which continued until Middle Ages. The industrial revolution development large-scale chemical industries Europe laid basis for warfare seen First World War. Throughout remainder twentieth century beyond there were continuing occurrences mass exposure chemicals, not only from deliberate release but also accidental by an ever-expanding industry. These had particularly severe consequences developing countries limited emergency responses.
