Tuneable microwave devices incorporating high temperature superconducting and ferroelectric films

摘要: The disclosure relates to ferroelectric and superconducting thin films used in combination produce low-loss frequency tunable microwave mm-wave devices. Various metal oxide can be arranged numerous multilayered geometries (figs. 14-19) which effect signals through the application of a voltage (V) across film. A preferred embodiment invention (figs 1, 2) is use inventive device as phase shifter or delay line (20) utilizing capacitor structures (21, 23) fabricated from (22) are responsive bias (25). Additional microwave, embodiments include resonators 10, 11), filters, coplanar waveguides, array antennas (fig. 6), radiative gratings 7), electrically small 8), half loop 23, 24), fringe capacitors 12, 13, 21, 30, 31), artificial transmission lines 29), etc.
