摘要: Glutamate and GABA have been identified as the major neurotransmitters in radial lateral synaptic pathways, respectively, of vertebrate retina. Over past year or so new information has appeared that significantly increased knowledge how these compounds can elicit a range responses. Key features this are identification localization many receptor subtypes within retina, recognition glutamate modulate membrane potential through cGMP-gated ion channels, finding be released non-vesicular pathways.
