摘要: Abstract Extensive work has been carried out to obtain a stoichiometric manganese hydride using high pressure hydrogen technique. Because of difficulties in obtaining the at room temperature, procedure previously applied investigate possibility formation platinum, iron, and rhodium hydrides used. A series NiMn alloys, starting from pure nickel, which forms under well-defined thermodynamic conditions, investigated 298 K with regard conditions alloy formation. The miscibility gap hydrogen-alloy systems occurred only alloys up about 18 at.% manganese; higher contents was present form solid solution. standard free energies have clearly indicated pressures 103−104 bar. non-stoichiometric obtained 577 8 kbar: X-ray analysis h.c.p. arrangement metal atoms unit cell lattice parameters: = 2.692 ± 0.002, c 4.361 0.002 . Mass-spectrometric concentration gave H/Mn atomic ratio 0.82.
