摘要: To obtain a comprehensive picture of the levels mental disability in general state prison population New York State, authors gathered data on random sample inmates using survey instrument adapted from state's level-of-care surveys psychiatric population. The consisted 3,332 (9.4 percent) and 352 health units. results showed that 8 percent have severe or functional disabilities clearly warrant some type intervention, another 16 significant require periodic services. specific nature extent these need to be assessed before appropriate services can developed.
