摘要: Many engineers and designers got into their professions in large part because they wanted to create products that help people. Translating this desire material objects is not a straightforward process. Contexts complexities often make it difficult for such visions be realized. In chapter Dean Nieusma offers advice who want assist the world’s poor disadvantaged. Unfortunately most of existing structures institutions shape or direct practice are geared towards wealthy powerful. And, as points out, understanding both needs context “have nots” can significant challenge “haves.”
