Biologically active preparations from Lactuca virosa L.

摘要: The crude preparations from Lactuca virosa L. (P-1, P-2, P-3), lactucin (1) and jacquinelin (2) were investigated pharmacologically in Albino-Swiss mice. results indicate that P-1, P-3 1, but not 2 show sedative analgesic properties. most active of them was preparation P-2 which at a dose mg/kg reduced the spontaneous locomotor activity 15 produced an effect. Jacquinelin (2), 8-desoxylactucine (4), 11β,13-dihydrolactucin (5) lactuside A (6) isolated this preparation.
