摘要: Abstract Regional analysis of the distribution metamorphic fabrics and shear zones in Palaeo-Mesoproterozoic Curnamona Province has enabled deconstruction a Cambrian fold arc that defines part eastern margin Gondwana. We suggest tectonic model whereby formed at ca. 500 Ma, during accretion Phanerozoic terranes to Precambrian Australia. The regional is interpreted have along an irregular plate comprising SE-convex rigid promontory basement initial Cambrian. An early phase dextral oblique-slip south west province indicates WNW transport direction. As was folded, slightly later sinistral shearing initiated east, response deflection around promontory.
